Primary Responsibilities:

  • Windows Server administration for mission-critical systems, including Active Directory management (GPOs/group management/permissions),DNS,DHCP
  • Install, administer, support of physical as well as virtualized environments on public/private cloud. (Oracle Private Cloud- PCA Preferred, if not VMWare)
  • Design storage strategies around backup and recovery for complex windows environments, physical structures, and specialized database applications/systems
  • Life Cycle management of Windows Virtual Machines, set up and work with automatic deployment tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, DevOps tools, end point management tools such as Tanium, Security tools such as FireEye and monitoring tools such as Zabbix, OEM, Splunk, ELK
  • Responsible for installing and troubleshooting Windows based applications such as SQL Server/Web Servers/Middleware/File share applications
  • Adaptation of best practices/CIS standards, system hardening, and Performance tuning of servers and automation
  • Annual attestation of audit and compliance requirements and support Disaster Recovery DR exercises
  • Design and develop and execute SOPs for routine operations/migrations/Patching cycles and Change management practices
  • Install and support highly scalable, available, reliable, and secure Infrastructure platform and DR solutions
  • Partner with Project/DBA teams and interact with customers to find solutions for critical issues
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them and collaborate
  • Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new / improved guidelines
  • Serve as a key resource on complex and / or critical issues and develop innovative approaches/Serve as Subject Matter Expert

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Windows administration/Active Directory/Domain administration and should be able to independently handle and lead the enterprise projects
  • 4+ years of experience with Virtualization/Cloud platform and Cloud technologies
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, solid understanding of Operating system statistics, storage architecture and performance and monitoring tools and automation
  • Solid Network concepts
  • Experience with Patch management and Powershell and automated deployment tools
  • Imaging experience such as WD, cloning and templates


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux/Solaris/ZFS storage administration
  • Working experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes/Dockers
  • Exposure to oracle tools and server technologies
  • Solid written and verbal communication, analytical skills and project management and presentation skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
