Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a specialized area or equivalent is required.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Working with the best-of-the-best, the Information Systems Specialist will perform IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting company business processes and operations. You'll also analyze, install, acquire, modify and support operating systems, database or utilities software, as well as analyze, design, acquire and implement projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. We'll rely on you to plan, conduct and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems along with planning, designing, acquiring and implementing telecommunications voice/wire systems.

With a focus Systems Administration, you'll perform Red Hat LINUX, UNIX, or Windows OS command line administration along with Trusted Network Environment (TNE) Pitbull command level administration and command line troubleshooting of OS and associated hardware/software. You'll also create and resolve helpdesk action items; Install, move and or breaks-down systems; and perform system builds.

By focusing on System Networking, you'll provide day-to-day communication/network security operation and maintenance of multiple secure network infrastructures by troubleshooting network architectures consisting of multilevel access and multilevel security platforms supporting both CONUS and OCONUS sites. We'll rely on you to install and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, VoIP systems, video teleconferencing, and various other network and telecommunication components; Analyze and determine corrective action for secure data communications networks; and troubleshoot and/or install 10/100/1000 Base T and fiber optic wiring as needed in support of network systems.

  • Do you live in the Windows command line window? Do you want to be a part of a Windows Administration team supporting our Nation's Cyber initiatives? General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is actively seeking a Windows System Administrator based in our Scottsdale, AZ office. In this role you will be part of a team that is responsible for Windows administration of a cross domain enterprise solution product platform.

    The successful Windows System Administrator must have:
    • Experience with Installing, configuring and supporting windows-based applications on Windows 7, 8, and 10 desktop systems, both virtual and physical
    • Experience automating installs using tools Ansible and Powershell
    • Analyzing requirements for deployment of new desktop applications, creating deployment plans and automation processes for new applications
    • Extensive knowledge of Server and PC hardware and software maintenance
    • Hands-on experience creating and implement desktop images
    • Hands-on experience managing thin client environment (VMware Horizon preferred)
    • Demonstrated experience with Group Policy Management, to include creation of policies, troubleshooting and maintaining
    • Desktop Image creation and validation using System Center Configuration Manager
    • Familiar with antivirus and security software (HBSS) and troubleshooting services affected by these software applications
    • Proficient with TCP/IP network protocol, to include a basic understanding of networking components (switches, routers, taclanes, etc.) and infrastructure

    Highlights of Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for successful engineering execution of LAN build-out and deployment
    • Provide input to work breakdown and prioritization of tasking
    • Maintains system documentation
    • May program in an administrative language such as PowerShell
    • Self-starter and ability to work tasks with little supervision or assistance
    • Proactively identify issues and resolve and make suggestions for improvements to the environment
    • Troubleshoot issues to resolution with customer impacting issues being priority and worked on until completion
    • Some travel required for site deployment to Omaha (approx 15% travel)
