Role:
Crisis Text Line provides free, 24/7 crisis support via text all with trained volunteers. As a Senior Learning Specialist on the Learning team, you strive to raise the bar on delivering learning experiences for our volunteer Crisis Counselors (volCCs). By combining the science of learning with a strong service-oriented mindset rooted in empathy, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional learning experience and environment for our volCCs. You will be supported by the Manager, VX Learning Delivery to drive the execution and measurement of learning interventions. The VX Senior Learning Specialist is a positive people person who trains, teaches, inspires, guides, and supports volunteers.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain existing learning and support the launch of new learning by creating, editing, or updating content and experiences according to outcomes, goals, and data.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional project work, providing the perspective of our volunteers in training and input from your experience as a senior learning specialist to drive improved efficiency and greater learning effectiveness.
- Support the measurement of the impact of learning interventions, identifying opportunities to gain efficiency and improve learning effectiveness.
- Contribute to the onboarding of new learning specialists and ongoing learning and development of the delivery team.Shepherd our new volunteers through their learning experience and first 10 conversations on the platform; communicating expectations, sharing feedback, and reinforcing end goals along the way.

- Deliver ongoing learning experiences for existing and returning volunteers that include (but not limited to) live learning sessions, refresher training, continuing education related to the development of core skills.
- Deploy and track learning progress of all learners within the Learning Management System.
- Deliver TTTs to Success Coaching and Supervision on new learning experiences being implemented to drive a cohesive volunteer experience.
- Communicate in a thoughtful and supportive way with all volCCs, team members, and cross-functional partners.
- Some schedule flexibility due to our 24/7 operation. Schedule may depend on the highest platform impact times.
- Will be asked to support at times outside of regular business hours.
- Respond in a timely and compassionate manner to all inquiries (we aim to respond to all emails within 24 hrs).
- Champion our volCCs for the whole organization.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- BA/BS required
- Ability to exhibit discretion and strong judgment
- Experience or formal education in learning sciences
- Experience moving projects with multiple stakeholders to fruition
- Demonstrated analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Relevant experience at a company in technology, mental health, or not for profit work
- All team members are required to go through our 30-hour volCC training
