The transition to electric vehicles is expected to transform how its customers operate fleets. Driven by economics, policy and/or legislation, 30% of fleets will transition to electric across the different vehicle classes in the next decade. This translates into 3M vehicles by 2025 and 11M vehicles by 2030 in our North American, European, and Asian markets. 

Prologis has a unique opportunity to leverage its real estate, development platform, renewable energy expertise, and customer base to build a market leading Turn-Key Electric Vehicle Charging business.


What’s needed in order to do that:

  • Help define and articulate vision, mission, and objectives of the EV business.
  • Develop the strategy and processes to design, build and operate infrastructure at scale globally.
  • Identify the essential functions to execute the design and build strategy and stand up the Infrastructure team accordingly.
  • Develop the contracting approach for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to fit with the goals and risk profile of the new EV business.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to drive continuous product improvement and innovation.
  • Execute mobility infrastructure projects meeting objectives for safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop a network of suppliers, partners, utilities, government agencies and OEM’s, and staying abreast of the market and technological industry advancements.
  • Develop customer relationships and provide solutions sales support to deliver compelling and fit for purpose customer proposals.
  • Coach staff and manage teams towards a high level of performance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with functions such as Sales, Marketing and Finance to develop and execute product and business plans.
  • Ensure EV entity is leveraging and integrated with Prologis’ existing energy capabilities including solar and battery storage to ensure we are maximizing the value created.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction management or asset management of renewable energy investments and/or energy project operations, coupled with education experience in a relevant discipline such as Electrical Infrastructure, Engineering, Science and/or Mathematics.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Experience with a Renewable Energy EPC and O&M contract negotiations to drive operating performance and reduce operating costs.
  • Direct experience and expertise in the development and construction of renewable energy projects.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience driving transformational change initiatives within organizations, including new technology implementations, organization restructuring, and/or new operating processes to streamline operations.
  • An understanding of best practices for project development, EPC contract management, and asset management of energy portfolios across the renewable energy asset class and/or geographic regions.
  • Extensive industry knowledge of the energy sector including renewables covering solar, BESS, DG, and hybrid models.
  • Be adept at problem solving and critical thinking with a proven ability to multi-task and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
