VP, Execution Lead

We are looking for an innovative, results-oriented transformation leader with requisite experience and enthusiasm to implement strategic organizational design changes for our North America businesses. The successful candidate must have experience with the planning and implementation of data, process and business automation across the insurance value chain. They will be self-motivated, creative and able to independently lead large scale strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will act as a liaison between the business, our technology organization, system integrators (SI) and external partners by planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex business and data opportunities. She/he will provide functional and technical leadership in identifying, evaluating, and developing strategic capabilities that are cost effective and position us to digitize our service delivery and customer engagement. The successful candidate will lead a North America delivery team that partners with internal specialists in data, underwriting, distribution, technology, claims, operations and business solution and architecture.

The VP, Execution Lead will oversee the team responsible for collaborating with members of senior leadership and executive partners across our North America business units and functions. She/he will focus on North America initiatives that drive operational excellence and efficiency for Chubb, while delivering improved experiences and better outcomes for our clients.

Requirements:

  • Lead and develop a high performing team of program/project leads
  • Provide overall project management of all initiatives in coordination with the business, IT and Operations
  • Support and be a change driver with the business in alignment with business operation and technology strategies
  • Engage with the business and functional units to support the development of cost-benefit analyses, influence the adoption of new approaches and support the execution of the appropriate business and technology improvements
  • Partner with the business and functional units to identify additional North America Operations process reengineering and automation opportunities drawing in appropriate resources (internal and external)
  • Leverage implementation best practices including organizational design, change management and communication strategies
  • Support the development of the analysis and design methodology including the related policies, procedures, tools and artifacts to ensure an "agile" implementation process that aligns with established release cycles and related enterprise standards
  • Support the identification and implementation of solutions, internal/external necessary to support North America Operations
  • Provide thought leadership on opportunities in emerging technologies, tools, and suppliers (partners).



Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Success Factors:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, data, engineering, mathematics or information management
  • Insurance domain or financial services knowledge
  • Ten plus years business project management in insurance, financial services or management consulting,
  • 10+ years of leadership experience driving major cross-functional operational improvements in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong Agile and project management skills
  • Experience with formal quality systems, such as Lean and Six Sigma
  • A broad view of the business and understanding of strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Ability to effectively interact with the full spectrum of disciplines necessary through the ideation, business case, design and development lifecycle (i.e. Underwriting / Operations Finance, IT, and Global Operations)
  • An appropriate balance of objective, analytical orientation with a desire to move things to conclusion and deliver results
  • Strong EQ; able to build and maintain relationships across Business and Technology
  • Change Agent, able to define the future state and implement change as necessary
  • Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability as a structured, logical thinker
