As the Vice President, Client Services, you will be responsible for the overall health and management of the agency’s clients and account management group, which includes, but is not limited to, client satisfaction, team development and mentoring, process development and enforcement, financial oversight and development, strategy and business setting, client well-being, and account status.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Team Development and Mentoring
  • Ensure staff understands responsibilities; communicates clear path forward and necessary
  • steps for career growth
  • Provide learning opportunities via education/training, pushing employees beyond comfort zone,
  • identifying growth opportunities
  • Work with GADs to ensure resources available/processes in place to execute tactics effectively
  • Step in on agency account tactics where necessary to provide guidance in time of need
  • Maintain open-door policy with employees (regardless of department) for troubleshooting and
  • crisis management

Process Development and Enforcement

  • Assess existing processes and ensures they are being followed
  • Where processes do not work or exist, lead both the development and implementation of new
  • Processes
  • Ensure repetition where possible across accounts to provide for seamless transitions and onboarding—documents, server, file management, client follow-up documentation, etc.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with cross-office counterpart to keep process and resources
  • streamlined

Financial Oversight

  • Provide ongoing guidance to staff for pricing, revisions, and forecasting
  • Present financials to President and CEO
  • Report early and often on any changes to financial picture
  • Lead agency understanding of financial implications regarding jobs/ accounts
  • Ensure that issues regarding clients/jobs are identified as early as possible and provide a
  • rationale and guidance on next steps

Business Development

  • Participate actively in business development initiatives representing the account management
  • team
  • Mentor junior staff and encourage participation
  • Continue to hone and perfect presentation style and agency responses to typical questions
  • Maintain contact and open dialogue with an ongoing list of senior-level executives in the
  • industry to mine for new business
  • Participate in networking events
  • Strategic Consultation
  • Provide solid insights to strategic development process
  • Ensure a deep understanding of client’s business challenges and continues dialogue with
  • clients at a high level
  • Ensure account management team understands the science involved with their assigned
  • brands as well as associated business challenges and opportunities

Client Relationship

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring that client is being treated in a professional and ethical
  • manner, that the agency is focused on helping the client achieve its commercial objectives, and
  • that the agency is dedicated to delivering a business experience that delights the client
  • Develop trusted senior-level relationships that foster clear communications and keeps account
  • team informed of the health of the account
  • Demonstrate ability to pick up the phone and talk to any level of client at any time regardless of
  • daily interactions
  • Touch base with senior-level clients regularly, to ferret out any opportunities or issues early
  • Ensure the P&L of the client in the agency is meeting or exceeding agency’s goals for that
  • client

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years’ experience in account management or equivalent
  • 5 years’ experience in agency management
  • Experience successfully managing and growing $1M+ pharma/healthcare accounts

Other Required:

  • May require travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Internet

This position can be remote (from US) or you can have the opportunity to work form one of our luxury offices.
