Company Description

pureIntegration, a technology consulting firm with 17+ years of experience servicing fortune 100 clients, is looking for an Switched Digital Video (SDV) Engineer to assist with decommissioning video services and devices in a production system. 

The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of the entire video ecosystem, and all of the associated components, proven success integrating changes to production systems without causing impact to existing operations, and the ability to think critically about the challenges and solutions being proposed. Additionally, the candidate will have an understanding of video distribution architecture and the devices that create the systems. 

Location: Remote

Work Arrangement: W2 Hourly, or 1099 6 month Contract Role with potential conversion to FTE

Work Authorization: EAD, GC & USCIT. Visa Candidates Accepted. WE DO NOT work with C2C relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain video encoders and QAM's
• Perform maintenance on encoders and QAM's
• Provide customer support as part of a support team
• Research existing production systems to ensure that configurations are correct
• Communicate with engineering and operations teams to convey status of work and outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 1-3 years experience in Video Operations or Advanced engineering roles
• Knowledge of Complex video flow and reliability designs 
• Knowledge of MPEG 2, MPEG4, and IP Video
• Video Operations experience in a major MSO is a plus
• Must have prior working experience with some of the following devices: DCM's, APEX QAM's, Harmonic QAM's, CAP1000, or Pro Stream
• Must be able to explain in writing and verbally how video distribution system components work together
• Expert knowledge of the DAC or Cisco EC Ecosystems

Preferred Skills:

• Experience as a Sr. Engineer on major projects.
