The Vice President, Math Supplementals will provide the academic and pedagogical leadership that enables Amplify to publish K-8 Math Supplemental programs that will dramatically improve student outcomes in mathematics and win significant market share.
The Vice President, Math Supplementals will oversee the development of supplemental curriculum, working with partners and with internal teams, ensuring overall coherence, excellence, and usability.
The Vice President, Math Supplementals will be the voice of subject matter expertise reporting to the General Manager on all curriculum matters, and ensure that Amplify Math Supplemental programs maintain the highest-quality pedagogical standards for the development and delivery of programs and services. The VP Math Supplementals will maintain Amplify's pedagogical and content relationship with Amplify's partners.
Responsibilities:
Product Vision: The Vice President, Math Supplementals will help define Amplify Math Supplemental programs through the lenses of mathematical rigor, teachability, usability, engagement and efficacy. The Vice President, Math Supplementals will also explore the uses of new or developing approaches and technologies in the product as they contribute to these lenses. The Vice President, Math Supplementals will ensure that Amplify Math Supplemental programs incorporate and adapt to content- and pedagogy-related feedback from buyers, educators, students, caregivers, and from external market and subject experts.
Curriculum: The Vice President, Math Supplementals will oversee the development of the Amplify Math Supplemental curriculum, including components that are developed internally or acquired externally or adapted, and covering instruction, practice, assessment, intervention, and approaches to professional development. The Vice President, Math Supplementals will research, inform, and advise the GM regarding any additional external components that can strengthen the program. The Vice President, Math Supplementals is responsible for the pedagogical and mathematical coherence of Amplify Math Supplemental.
Advisors: The Vice President, Math Supplementals will set a strategy for and oversee major efforts with external academic and teacher advisors.
Pedagogical and Content Partnerships:The Vice President, Math Supplementals is responsible for academic, pedagogical, and content development relationships with Amplify's external partners.
Product Champion: The Vice President, Math Supplementals will be a visible leader for the Math Supplemental, supporting major district Sales when appropriate and speaking at major education events. The Vice President, Math Supplementals will support the GM in championing Amplify Math Supplemental programs with key internal stakeholders including Sales management, the Executive team, and department leads.
Professional Development: The Vice President, Math Supplementals will collaborate with professional development teams, product teams, and external partners to design and develop solutions that support both customer and business goals.

  • Influence, shape and support the educational vision for Amplify Math Supplementals leveraging market data and a best in class understanding of the Math product landscape
  • Be a compelling leader who will build trusted relationships with colleagues from wide-ranging disciplines
  • Coach a talented team to deliver at a high standard
  • Be focused on achieving outcomes related to producing a best in class program that is rigorous and riveting
  • Collaborate closely with product leads and exhibit judgment and practicality in designing and delivering a winning product within any time or budgetary constraints


Our Vice President, Math Supplementals will have most of these qualifications:

  • You've worked in Math Education at a leadership level - at a core publisher, an innovative product company, and/or in a school district.
  • You have familiarity with mathematical curricula and pedagogical standards and trends across K-12
  • You have first-hand experience with, and understand the process for ensuring best practices are integrated into curriculum and product development
  • You combine outstanding relationship management skills with a history of execution
  • You have managed a team, building a cohesive culture while holding them accountable for high-performance goals
