Raytheon Missiles & Defense - Precision Manufacturing organization (RPM) encompasses two remote location factories (Lemmon Ave., Dallas, TX and University St., McKinney, TX) that are structured under the Missile and Defense business unit of Raytheon Technologies. RPM manufactures a wide variety of precision machined, plated, and painted parts for various radar, FLIR, Missile, and Communications systems across Raytheon.

Job Summary:

The Value Stream Managers (VSM) is directly accountable for all manufacturing related activities within a production or prototype/development manufacturing environment. The successful VSM candidate will report to the Factory Manager and be accountable for the daily management of their manufacturing areas for safety, security, quality, schedule, and cost. A VSM is tasked to define clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and partner with functional management to allow for continuous manufacturing flow of precision machined and finished products. Additionally the VSM will have accountability for production deliveries, daily direction to salary support, and safety within their factory area.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Coordination of all necessary aspects and resources to successfully complete assigned requirements with full focus on safety, security, quality, schedule, and cost. Monitor and report on factory metrics (safety, cost, quality, and OTD).
  • Assign resources to work issues that are negatively impacting performance.
  • Coordinate with Fab Engineering on manufacturing process development activities.
  • Communicate material shortages, performance to MRP and any other issue resulting in an impact to production to Factory and Program management and bring proposed solutions to the table.
  • Ensuring goals are set for appropriate direct reports and for PDS completion annually as well as the mentoring and growth of employees within the group.
  • This position will start as a rotational assignment working across different factories.



Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or an additional 2 years of Manufacturing Leadership experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • 5 years of Leadership, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with or education in the sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, inspection, and other manufacturing operations including manufacturing line balancing.
  • Experienced leader responsible for managing teams which partner with Engineering, Quality, Production Control, Program Management or Cost preferably in an AS9100 factory environment.
  • Candidate must currently have a DoD Secret Clearance
  • The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast paced deadline driven environment.

Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
