Description:

Broad responsibility and leadership for overall operation of a value stream. Ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, provide excellent customer service, maximize shareholder value, develop a technically qualified work force, and build a high-performance culture through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.

  • Ownership of Value Stream revenue, cost including productivity, cost of quality, program performance, inventory management, customer scorecard performance and bid support.
  • Embrace and promote Fortive's shared purpose by becoming a Fortive Business System (FBS) champion
  • Strong cross-functional leadership to enable team to be successful in achieving positive operational performance.
  • Leverage FBS tools to establish standard work, problem-solve, drive improvements, and define clear accountability.
  • Leads the assigned Value Stream processes (purchase to shipment) through daily management which include but are not limited to bid planning, demand planning, production planning, production control, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, product test, design engineering support, and inspection.
  • Build and support company culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented, and the area is compliant with safety requirements.
  • Instills and maintains a positive can-do team atmosphere within the Value Stream. Support engagement, inclusivity, and diversity initiatives to continue building a high-performance work culture.
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained to perform assigned work. Apply industry best practices for cross-training to grow a flexible workforce.
  • Works with the other members of Site Leadership to develop future state site plans and support the implementation of site, facility, and process improvements.



Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline or equivalent, professional level experience of six or more years and demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results.
  • Experience with Fortive Business System (FBS), or equivalent continuous improvement systems with demonstrated results using Lean and/or Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work and communicate effective with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven competency in a team leader role for two or more years, and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
