Full Time (40 hours)

Evening Shift, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Position Summary:

The Unit Associate, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in cooperation with all the members of the patient care team, provides a variety of nutritional, clinical and transportation services and activities to promote patient comfort and satisfaction. Contributes to a positive work environment as an active team member with a commitment to learning and skill development.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining inventory supply and stocking units according to established procedures and standards.
• Transporting patients and equipment.
• Delivering records and specimens.
• Assisting nursing and medical personnel in delegated direct/indirect patient care activities.

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

Six months of health care work experience, preferred. Must have at least 6 months steady work history.

Assessment(s): This position will require the passing of a basic computer, basic math, and following instructions test to be considered.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplies, and procedures.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/urgent situations and to follow established procedures.
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors, and other hospital employees
