Term employment is an employment status in which the Bank hires an individual for a job function within the Bank, receiving all the benefits of a regular status employee, except separation pay programs, merit increases, job positing capabilities or holding a corporate title. If you are converted to a regular employment status position or are hired in a different regular employment status position within the Bank, the time worked as a term employee will count towards all benefits.

We are looking to hire a Wire Services Operations Specialist for 1-2 years, (not to exceed 2 years).

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for processing a high volume of cash transactions related to client payment requests via wire, check, ACH or internal book transfer while simultaneously using multiple systems. Ability to prioritize work queue based on relevant investment restrictions/cutoffs, transaction types and system processing schedules. Must possess strong reading comprehension in order to review and authenticate payment requests and ensure adherence to applicable policies and procedures. Issues with payment request will need to be identified and effectively communicated to the Client Administration team and management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Receive payment requests and prioritize work based on a multitude of factors.
  • Validate that requests have been executed by an authorized individual pursuant to the account's governing agreement.
  • Perform telephonic callbacks to authenticate payment instructions.
  • Use of Trust 3000 system to validate funds sufficiency and determine liquidity restrictions of the investments within the account(s) related to the payment request.
  • Ensure that all transactions are accounted for in requests that contain multiple payments.
  • Accurately enter payment instructions and relevant reference details into payment systems.
  • Use multiple systems for the execution of transactions in USD and foreign currencies.
  • Continually monitor transactions throughout the day to ensure appropriate posting to accounts and reconcile all activity at end of day.
  • Understand the risks associated with the various types of payments and transactions that are being processed.


Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of Payment processing experience.
  • 1-2 years of Financial Services experience.
  • Trust 300/SEI experience a plus.
