About the role: As a Technology Business Consultant, Specialist you will provide credit card business consulting services to our clients and be heavily invested in analyzing and staying current on marketplace trends and best practices. This role will be responsible for researching vendor products and services, and providing our clients with detailed information and recommendations that will help drive business decisions and success. Will provide technological solutions to business problems.
About the team -The PaymentsEdge Marketing and Advisory Team works with FIS credit and debit card issuers to understand and optimize portfolio performance. This position will report to the VP, Business Executive. We have 18 team members.
What you will be doing:

  • You will work individually or within a team on credit card business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements.
  • You will define product scope, objectives and requirements. Defines specifications and data models for portfolio analysis and optimization. Expertly researches and documents client needs.
  • Assesses available marketing treatments and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Writes test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements made to applications meet client needs and application integrity is maintained.
  • Consults directly with clients and may travel to client site.
  • May play a key role in training client regarding credit industry best practices. Training may be delivered one-on-one as knowledge transfer or in a classroom setting depending on number in audience and client preference.
  • Will serve as pre-sales support specialist when needed.


What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or information systems- or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in the credit card services
  • Experience managing portfolios at a regional or national level
  • Experience in marketing & product management
  • In-depth knowledge of credit card and financial services industry
  • Hands on consumer, small business and commercial card portfolio management experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze portfolio performance and make appropriate recommendations
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise with other resources
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, negotiation, conflictmanagement and time management skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed. Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
