About the team
The Global Real Time Payments (GRTP) team is a Lean, Agile, globally disbursed team that interlocks with FIS LOBs, Sales, COO, RISC, Legal and Treasury focused on changing the way money moves through RealNetâ„¢, the FIS Real Time payments platform that unifies, orchestrates and executes payments faster across the globe.
What you will be doing
In this role you will be providing technical guidance to FIS clients concerning business implications of applications and implementation of various systems. You will be involved in formulating systems scope and objectives considering client business plans and industry requirements. This is a fully remote position that can work from anywhere in the US.

  • You will work individually, or within a team on RealNet technology business consulting projects designed to meet specific client requirements.
  • You will defines product scope and associated requirements while developing SME's in areas of the RealNet solution.
  • Serves as liaison between clients and FIS teams during implementations and Operations consulting projects.
  • Expertly researches and documents client needs, technology or regulations related to system design, enhancement and acquiring hardware or software that will impact multiple platforms and/or applications.
  • Analyzes marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services, etc. Also analyzes system impacts to other systems and procedures.
  • Devises and/or modifies processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies and to solve most complex technical problems related to RealNet Operations including Client Onboarding, Billing, Reconciliation, and Support.
  • Assesses available technologies and recommends solutions to the GRTP team.
  • Writes test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements made to applications meet client needs and application integrity is maintained.
  • Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests. Conducts tests using client data to be certain client needs will be met.
  • Influences clients, business partners and service providers regarding priorities, solutions and approaches, and/or vendor selection.
  • Consults directly with clients.
  • Acts as team leader for technical aspects of consulting projects leading sub-plans or small projects. May mentor, guide, advise and/or check work of less experienced business systems analysts and technology business consultants.
  • May play a key role in training client and technical support personnel on enhancements, new systems, or procedures. Training may be delivered one-on-one as knowledge transfer or in a classroom setting depending on number in audience and client preference.
  • May serve as pre-sales support specialist when needed.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • 5 - 10+ years' experience as a technology consultant to businesses, or to internal lines of business
  • 3 - 5+ years of implementation experience (to include on-boarding clients) on a large project spanning lines of business, that took several months/years to implement, and/or a shorter timeframe project that was enterprise wide.
  • Proven customer service skills that build high levels of satisfaction for both internal and external clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences at various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Willingly shares relevant product and/or industry knowledge and expertise
  • Analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, conflict management and time management skills
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., agile, iterative, and other modern approaches to software development and conversion methodologies
  • Knowledge of application architecture
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Excellent working knowledge of cloud-based tools, & APIs
