Technology Alliances Manager (Splunk)
deepwatch is seeking a high-energy, experienced Technology Alliances Manager. This individual will play a key role in driving our continued growth nationally through the strategic alignment with our key partnership with Splunk. The Technology Alliances Manager will report to the Head of Channel & Alliances. As Technology Alliances Manager, you will be primarily responsible for developing and nurturing deepwatch's partnership with Splunk to increase the sale of deepwatch Managed Security Services, and additionally supporting deepwatch's overall channel ecosystem and partner programs.
Working closely with the Technology Alliances Director, you will be identifying opportunities to strengthen our alliance partnerships and collaborate with the Splunk product, technical, marketing and sales teams to enhance and optimize our joint GTM solutions, develop collateral and enable GTM teaming for demand-gen and sales. This role will drive success that will be measured in go-to-market activities with a focus on new pipeline, revenue, market share gains, and overall competitiveness.
The ideal candidate has a combination of attributes including sales farmer mentality and business development, coupled with the strategic business acumen of an MBA graduate. The individual should be an execution-focused team player that displays maturity, commands trust and inspires confidence; with excellent people and technical skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities

  • Drive improved business alignment and scale strategic technology partnerships with effective go-to-market teaming to source or influence new customer engagements
  • Understand the technology partners' business objectives, go-to-market approach, channels, and use this insight to build and execute a partnership strategy focused on driving customer engagements and new sales
  • Understand who the key decision makers and influencers are at the strategic partner, find areas for highest impact to new business for both parties, and drive execution with the partner across functions - sales, marketing, technical, and product teams
  • Influence key senior, mid-level and line-level relationships and gain preference for deepwatch as the trusted, 'go-to' MSS partner
  • Translate activity into tangible results, and act as a good steward of deepwatch resources to ensure the most effective GTM alignment
  • Work effectively with deepwatch sales teams across regions
  • Execute against the business plan and make quick adjustments both tactically and strategically
  • Attain quarterly results for sales bookings, revenue and gross margin
  • Learn new and emerging technologies and remain current with information security news, techniques, and trends
  • Leverage exceptional communications skills to lead business and technical presentations, demonstrations and conversations with C-level audiences across partners
  • Effectively manage multiple opportunities in a methodical and disciplined manner
  • Willingness to travel (often with short notice)
  • Attend industry trade shows and security related conferences in support of activities
  • Set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and team members
  • Play an active role in driving growth in a winning, team oriented, hyper responsive culture
  • Provide weekly reporting on partner initiatives and performance results
  • Provide input into overall company strategy and product roadmap
  • Work closely with Corporate and Product Marketing to design and implement promotions, campaigns and awareness
  • Other duties as assigned by deepwatch Senior Leadership

Requirements
Required Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or related discipline preferred) and MBA (highly desired). If no MBA, equivalent working experience.
  • 4+ years demonstrated experience (can be 2+ years with an MBA) in strategic business development, technology alliances, product management/marketing, and/or technical/solution marketing while leading cross-functional efforts.
  • Extensive, demonstrable knowledge and experience working with (or for) Splunk required. Additionally, working knowledge and experience with other security technology alliances and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and demonstrate good judgment. Proactively seeks feedback and input.
  • Smart, analytical (with attention to details), creative, driven and with get-it-done attitude
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with partners, executives, and customers on a daily basis
  • Strong writing and presentation skills. Actively listens and communicates well with others
  • Fundamental understanding of software, computer, and network architectures
  • Must be collaborative: easy to work with, an ability to influence and help internal constituents and external parties see and then realize the value of working with deepwatch and on specific BD/Alliance initiatives
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws


Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Direct and/or channel sales experience with focus on consultative, services-led sales and/or customer outcome-driven approach
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Good grasp of the MSS competitive landscape
  • Understanding of MITRE Att&ck and NIST cybersecurity frameworks


Colorado Candidates:
Minimum salary of one hundred eight thousand dollars + commissions + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when working remotely from the state of Colorado.
