Job Description
The Workday Functional Champion is responsible for delivering a best-in-class HRIS experience to Motorola Solutions employees, managers, HR functional teams and HR business partners through the design, deployment, and administration of Workday at Motorola Solutions. As a Workday expert, this individual will be responsible for helping team members think through challenges, providing stretch assignments and developmental opportunities, coordinating work among team members, and modeling Motorola Solutions leadership values.
This person will maintain vendor relationships with Workday and partner with HR COE teams including Recruiting, Onboarding, Rewards, Talent, and Employee Relations to build a multi-year Workday technology roadmap that is aligned to business priorities and HR operational needs. They will oversee and manage the ongoing design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the HR Business Processes in Workday and serve as a strong consultative partner to business users and functional leaders to continuously improve service delivery including Workday data analytics and reporting.
In addition, they will constantly leverage their technical and Workday expertise to help solve complex problems, collaborate with team members to help them think through opportunities, and even perform configuration within the tenant. A deep technical understanding of the complexities and interconnectedness of the Workday modules is critical to ensuring not only the stability of the platform, but that we are also maximizing our investment. They are responsible for managing role-based security on the platform as well as continually improving data integrity and driving data governance across the platform. They will partner with the Chief Administrative Office Technical Teams and IT Organization to ensure seamless integrations between Workday and other Motorola Solutions applications.
Knowledge/Skills:
Experience supporting Workday HCM, Workday Recruit, Workday Compensation and other Workday suite systems in a large global organization (>10,000 employees)
Experience managing the design, configuration, testing, implementation, documentation, communication and training for new or updated Workday tools.
Strong experience with interface, networking, and data warehousing technologies, as well as design, relational database technologies, and performance tuning
Ability to plan, budget, and forecast HRIS Systems needs and application requirements.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships throughout and beyond Human Resources and influence partners where appropriate
Qualifications:
Implementation experience with Workday or other major HR systems including stabilization with a company of similar scale and complexity to Motorola Solutions
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of HRIS Software Development experience
3+ years of experience in Workday business processes, report generation and interface architecture
