Department OverviewThe Motorola Solutions Training Services Organization is responsible for creating innovative training strategies, as well as the design, development, and delivery of technical and end user training content across the MSI solutions/product portfolio. Our training services address the educational needs of our Motorola Solutions customers, partners and employees, enabling each group to be more efficient, effective, as well as ensure established business and operational outcomes are met.
Job Description
This dynamic role will be responsible for understanding North America (NA) customer training requirements and driving training attachment on both System Integration (SI) and Non-SI engagements. The person filling this role will provide comprehensive training consulting services and custom proposal generation. They will also insure customer training projects align with MSI strategy and critical customer needs within their assigned territories.
This role will work with field teams to ensure training services are quoted to align closely with customer requirements and needs as stated in RFP and RFI requests.
The individual filling this role works closely with NA Account Executives, Pre-Sales, Systems Integration, Service Delivery, Lifecycle & Upgrade teams as well as other teams to provide comprehensive training consultation services to ensure training services are included in the overall solution, system, service and product sale. The driving goal of a Training Consultant is to ensure training services are provided to the customer so that they are equipped to use, operate and maintain their MSI solutions and products in the most effective and efficient way, driving customer satisfaction and a strong customer relationship. There may also be times that this individual will manage the post-sale implementation of customer training in assigned territories, with a focus on flawless execution.
Other key focus areas for this role:
· Position and promote training as a critical Professional Service that is required in order for customers to successfully meet their identified business/operational outcomes while using, operating and maintaining the complex systems and solutions we sell.
· Engage on all strategic projects as a training Subject Matter Expert (SME).
· Engage with, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, SI, Lifecycle, UO, Service, and Post Sale.
· Educate internal teams on our overall training offerings.
· Participate in customer Best And Final Offer (BAFO) oral presentations to explain the training package and services being proposed to assist in final negotiations.
Key responsibilities include: training consulting, needs analysis, administration, planning, and execution of training strategies and events.
The primary focus of a Training Consultant is to identify, develop and implement the strategies, and training services necessary to achieve (1) the customer's goals and business/operational outcomes and (2) objectives of the business they support.
This position requires someone who is punctual, demonstrates strong organizational skills, is detail-oriented, is adept at multi-tasking and effective working while traveling to customer locations. Critical is the ability to work independently on assigned customer projects. The position requires an individual who can prioritize the work to ensure accurate and timely execution of deliverables. A thirst for knowledge is essential.

Bachelors in Business with a technical background and 5+ years related experience
