Location: Wilmington, DE - Hybrid work scheme

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical expertise for Thermo Scientific NanoDrop product instrumentation encompassing computer hardware, software operating systems, applications, and common molecular biology techniques.
  • Provide technical support services for phone, email and web based questions.
  • Maintain and update Thermo Scientific NanoDrop product troubleshooting guides to be used as support team resources.
  • Contribute to technical support documents such as user guides, protocols and application notes as needed.
  • Accept other duties required by changes in procedures or technology.



Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study in combination with 2+ years' lab experience or 2 years in a Technical Support role in which direct customer contact was part of the job function.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve problems on sophisticated instrumentation via email and phone.
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant Life Science technologies.
  • Proven ability to logically communicate complex technical information both orally and in writing to customer base.
  • Demonstrated expertise in writing technical documents such as protocols or application notes.
  • Familiar with the operation and basic structure of Windows operating systems.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage time to complete assigned tasks.
  • Team player that can work well with peers and management. Must be able to provide constructive suggestions in a positive manner.
  • Projects enthusiasm for the company and a positive image of service to customers, peers and other departments.
