Position Summary

Scantron is looking for a Technical Support Representative for our Omaha, NE office. Technical Support Representatives perform technical support for our clients' hardware and software needs covered under maintenance and Managed Service agreements.

Support activities include, but are not limited to configuration, maintenance and monitoring of servers; workstations; routers; firewalls, VPN gateways; and administrative tasks such as user authentication and authorization; software updates; and configuration of drivers and settings on personal computing devices and printers

Key Duties / Responsibilities

The Technical Support Representative is responsible for the troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, workstations, networking equipment and software applications over the phone using remote software.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 and 10
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2019
  • Office 365
  • Remote Desktop Services
  • Citrix environments
  • Mobile Phone Support
  • Third party vendor management
  • VMware
  • Firewalls
  • Switches
  • VPNs
  • Monitoring of client system environments and functions
  • Escalate appropriate technical issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Meets all attendance requirements

Education & Knowledge Required

High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of IT experience or equivalent of the combination of education and work experience.

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required

  • Willing to work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with a rotating on-call and holiday schedule

  • An understanding, and ability to use computers
