M – F / 8 Hour Day Shift
This position is a Tier 2 Technical Support Lead for the RDT&E Network extension at the Washington Navy Yard (WNY).
Your responsibilities will include:
• Troubleshooting user IT issues, including network issues, basic Windows OS issues, and peripheral device support
• Provide account management (create, modify, delete) services for the RDT&E network users (AD familiarity preferred)
• Provides phone, email, chat, and walk-up technical support to WNY users
• Performs software installs for customers. This includes standard COTS software (ex. adobe) and more important GOTS software which may be complex
The Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center supports 3,200 scientists, engineers, and technical personnel in more than 40 disciplines ranging from fundamental science to applied/in-service engineering.
To qualify, you will need:
• DOD Top Secret Security Clearance
• At least 4 years of experience providing IT support in a Windows environment
• Active directory experience
• Experience with classified support (SIPR)
• Basic scripting skills
• Active CompTIA Security+CE Certification
• Ability and willingness to travel to Washington Navy Yard on a daily basis
