Our Rebellion:

Rebellion Defense builds mission-focused AI products for the defense and security of the United States, the United Kingdom, and our allies. We are a well capitalized, venture-backed technology company that creates software which transforms data into decision advantage.

Our people are passionate about creating a company where technologists empower our military and civil servants to solve some of the hardest problems in government. Rebellion Defense is driven by our mission — but a set of core values binds us together: we hire by them, operate through them, and uphold them in every decision we make for ourselves and for our customers.

We are looking for a Technical Success Manager in the Seattle or Washington D.C. office to help Rebellion’s customers achieve wildly successful outcomes through adoption of Rebellion technology. The Technical Success Manager helps ensure smooth deployment of Rebellion software, smoothly and serves as the customer’s primary point of contact for all matters related to adoption, training, support, and incident response. Technical Success Managers have the technical prowess to debug complex problems within government customers’ operational environments and the creativity to hack together work-arounds when needed. The role also requires the empathy to establish trusted-partner relationships with our users, and the professional presence to articulate Rebellion’s value to senior defense and national security officials.

Exceptional customer success and support functions are key to Rebellion’s success as a SaaS company--and to mission outcomes. As one of the first Technical Success Managers at Rebellion, you will have an outsized impact in defining and implementing Rebellion’s vision for customer success and support that is much different from and far, far better than what the Department of Defense has grown accustomed.

While this position is located in Washington DC, it will involve frequent travel to customer locations.

Clearance eligibility:

We are working to impact a really unique and special industry. Many of the national security programs that are supported by Rebellion’s products operate in secure environments and access to those spaces and the data in them requires an active personnel security clearance. Due to the projects connected to this specific position, an active TS/SCI clearance is required.

We look for a track record of the following:

  • Debugging and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with high scale production services on cloud infrastructure.
  • Parsing logs to diagnose issues, and properly escalating problems when necessary.
  • Experience writing code is desirable but not required.
  • Navigating large organizations to identify key decision makers, influencers, and early adopters.
  • Developing creative processes or technical solutions to boost productivity and effectiveness, ideally in a military context.
  • Effortlessly building friendships, trust, and rapport with front line users and senior leaders.
  • Coaching others to articulate what it is they value and devising ways to measure that value.
  • Defining and exceeding success metrics and service level agreements for the customers and products you work with.
  • Communicating with clarity and wit in writing and in person.
  • Advocating for customer needs within a product engineering organization.
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, or using software on classified government networks is preferred.
  • 5+ years military experience is strongly preferred.

You might be a good fit if you:

  • Have a knack for troubleshooting.
  • Can manage many priorities at once.
  • Enjoy spending significant amounts of time on-site with customers and making a direct impact on mission outcomes.
  • Love to proactively come up with clever solutions to make things run better.
  • Are comfortable in a rapidly changing startup environment where we often fill many different roles, and where roles and responsibilities will change over time.
  • Care deeply about helping defense customers achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Are passionate about turning the defense and national security into the forward leaning, effective, tech enabled powerhouse of an organization that you always wanted it to be.

Our commitment to candidate experience:

  • We are a team of advocates for our candidates while building a fair and equitable process.
  • Our team empowers our candidates, business partners, and each other through transparency, honesty, and empathy.
  • We are committed to hiring a unique and diverse team with the shared vision that Rebellion is the go-to AI suite for national defense and security.

Our Interview Process:

  • To start, you’ll have an initial 30 minute conversation with one of our amazing recruiters to learn more about you and your career goals.
  • Next, you’ll dive deeper into your background and expertise with the Hiring Manager for 30-45 minutes
  • Lastly, you will have the opportunity to meet with members across our team for competency focused interviews covering both technical aspects of the role and our company culture.

What we offer you:

  • An opportunity to be a part of something bigger; a mission with real impact
  • A chance to be a part of a people-first team
  • Robust career growth and advancement opportunities
  • A comprehensive range of benefits that are fair, equitable, and competitive that include the following:
