• Provide leadership-by-example and technical expertise for mechanical, HVAC, electrical (HV/LV, UPS, Generator), controls, BMS, and other facilities-critical systems.
• Provide or source technical support for Facility Managers, site Chief Engineers and their engineering staff
• Proactively identify risks to client facilities and eliminate downtime.
• Promote team ownership of site spaces.
• Actively work to identify potential points of failure and proactive solutions
• Administer technical skills assessments and technical training program of facility engineering personnel
• Provide field verification of proper maintenance and safety practices, and quality of work.
• Identify areas of improvement for coordination between Engineering, Facilities, and Projects.
• Provide back-up coverage as necessary in cases personnel emergency, absence, or conflicts
• Support building operations through a highly integrated facilities management and engineering team to assure high infrastructure availability and client satisfaction
• Look for opportunities to advance the JLL's team in accordance with the strategic plan.
• Ensure consistent maintenance management practices across the account's portfolio and ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators
• Coordinate with the site Chief Engineers and engineering teams in coordination with the Senior Facility Managers, participate in team meetings to provide insight and guidance.
• Responsible for the implementation and management of JLL Operational Compliance Program (OCP)
• Fully support all standard operating systems and practices
• Provide sources of training and education for Facility Managers, Chief Engineers and their engineering staff.
• Assist the Reliability team in the development, implementation, and maintaining (as appropriate) reliability-based maintenance practices incoordinate with the client.
• Support Environmental Health and Safety team in root cause analysis on all incidents or outages and work to reform processes, practices and systems to avoid recurrences.
• Work with Union leadership, where appropriate, to promote professional development and use of Union-sponsored qualification programs.
• Conduct all activities with a focus on cost savings and innovation.

Skills/Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in managing technical teams and site operations.
• 15+ years experience in facilities maintenance/operations or equivalent
• Experience with GxP/Life Sciences industries is a plus
• Ability to communicate between diverse teams and varying levels of management
• Able to provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff
• Must have experience overseeing rollout and implementation of programs, processes, audits, and change management.
• Successful candidate must be self-motivated who can work independently or on a team.
• Ability to comply with JLL and client-directed Policies & Procedures
• Experience with Reliability-based maintenance a plus.
• Understanding of six-sigma processes and concepts a plus.

Requirements

• Travel up to 25%
• Willingness and ability to work occasional odd-hours to support emergencies or infrequent events.
