Summary:

The Technical Learning Specialist assists with the administration, design, development, delivery, implementation, and evaluation of training programs to effectively develop employees across the organization and maximize productivity.

Summary of Duties:

  • Develops and facilitates technical training programs
  • Establishes and maintains training project requirements
  • Determines development and implementation schedules, requirements, and budgets
  • Assists management and the customer in complex technical or operational improvement functions and processes
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, presents and evaluates training courses using a wide range of development tools and platforms
  • Assists in the development of metrics to conduct performance assessments subsequent to training
  • Evaluates existing training programs for effectiveness, recommends improvements, and assesses effectiveness of improvements
  • Acts as a project manager for learning and development projects
  • Coordinates with training vendors as needed
  • Coordinates training logistics including scheduling, invitations, materials, and roster management
  • Works with subject matter experts to incorporate creative training techniques into learning programs


You Must Have:

  • US citizenship to obtain and maintain US Dept. of Energy ""Q"" level security clearance
  • Three years' experience in progressive training and/or training facilitation in a manufacturing environment
  • Two years' experience in development methodologies and/or related proven experience as an instructor or course developer


We Value:

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate field such as talent development, business or equivalent combination of formal education and applicable experience
  • Demonstrated classroom facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated Project Management Skills
  • ICP soldering certification and Microsoft Office proficiency a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability to learn KCNSC systems including MES, eMatrix, CMS, and Command Media and others
  • Expertise in basic manufacturing processes such as soldering, tinning, and GD&T
  • Proven ability in decision-making, organizing, and problem-solving
  • Ability to interface effectively with support organizations and internal customers such as ISC, next assembly, etc. and exercise judgment to determine appropriate action
  • Understanding of KCNSC processes and knowledge of KCNSC product strongly preferred. May require additional training and qualification
  • Knowledge of production management, manufacturing operations, and/or quality inspection or test fields or related Activities
