Job Description

This position leads the Vulnerability Management and Threat Intelligence Teams at Rockwell Automation under the leadership of the VP of IT Security. The role is critical to Rockwell Automation's success in understanding our attack surface and the ever- evolving threats that our organization faces. Maturing our capabilities related to discovery, classification, remediation and validation of vulnerabilities and gaps in our cyber defense readiness is a primary responsibility for this role.

In addition, this role is accountable for the proactive capability of identifying, communicating, and continuous improvement around the threats that target our organization. This role will have direct responsibilities in leading a highly technical team in planning, building, executing, and maturing these vital capabilities across our enterprise. The technical leader is a hands-on people manager who actively coaches their team to solve complex problems, provides clarity in solving complex problems and removes roadblocks for the team to be successful.

In this role you will:

  • In partnership with technical subject matter experts, internal business partners, and industry partners, lead the team accountable for the risk- based approach to vulnerability management and cyber threat intelligence.
  • Guide teams and partners on the remediation and mitigation of cyber risk across our enterprise.
  • Be accountable for the people, process and technology within the vulnerability management and cyber threat intelligence capabilities
  • Mentor, coach, and develop the technical team
  • Work with business partners, technology peers, risk managers, and internal governance roles to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack
  • Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo
  • Provide the team a roadmap for maturing our vulnerability management and threat intelligence capabilities.
  • This position can be performed remotely from any US Location
  • The base salary compensation range for this role in Colorado is $142,240- $177,800 USD Annual with an annual target bonus of 10% of base salary.
  • This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of formal leadership experience
  • 10+ year of information technology and/or cybersecurity experience
  • Hands on knowledge and experience related to vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and penetration testing tools and methodologies
  • Security Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, GICA, OSCP
  • Seen as an expert within the technical components of the domains/products/journeys
  • Clearly communicate risks and remediation/mitigation guidance across a diverse landscape of technology and business stakeholders
  • Familiar with production Cloud/DevOps environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill information from disparate data sources and the capability to tell the story behind it, as well as make recommendations for next steps.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
  • Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the team's potential
  • Strong coordination and negotiation skills to help keep the team focused and delivering consistent value
