JOB DESCRIPTION

Our team is looking for a passionate Government Tech Outreach Manager to help build our fast growing government business! Access to emerging technology is critical to government innovation and this role is on the front line of bringing emerging technology into government. In this role, you will focus on engaging emerging technology companies to support government customers. You will develop outreach campaigns, partner strategies, and work with industry to drive awareness of government requirements. You will help the government foster an innovative culture that attracts emerging technology. It’s fast paced and exciting!

At a high level, you’ll be responsible for:

• Keeping our amazing community of government leaders involved with Dcode
• Supporting customer engagements
• Developing new and exciting ways to work with government, startup technology companies, and system integrator partners to advance government missions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Success

• Develop market outreach and engagement strategies that establish clear expectations and communications between the government and technology companies
• Deploy awareness campaigns to attract qualified nontraditional and emerging technology companies to government solicitations
• Conduct outreach and engagement with venture capital firms, accelerator programs, and companies with technologies that might be beneficial for government use
• Manage relationships with key officials at various Federal agencies
• Support service delivery for government facing advisory services
• Identify industry partners with capabilities and culture that align with government customer objectives

Community Building

• Work across Dcode teams, including marketing, tech engagement, and senior leadership, to build out community engagement strategies and expand industry participation
• Represent Dcode at conferences and events, and at meetings with leaders from government, industry, and venture capital
• Plan, coordinate, and execute startup company-related program activities including meetings with government and partners, and ongoing educational sessions

KEY SKILLS

You’ll learn something new every day in this role. We’ll teach you the ropes but ideal candidates will have:

• 4+ years of work experience
• The ability to propose, strategize, and execute without being closely managed 
• Strong interest in technology, startups, or government
• Prior experience delivering government-facing client work
• Prior experience engaging with commercial tech companies 
• Prior experience in an outreach-related role including business development, coalition building, or similar function
• An ability to listen to customers and discern needs
• A willingness and ability to support operations in a fast-paced environment
• Proven problem-solving, self-management, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
