Role Responsibilities
- In this position you will be responsible for monitoringandinvestigatingIT securityalerts, determining the source of the threat, the extent to which client assets have been compromised and making recommendations for remediation.
- Perform analysis of security events from multiple sources including but not limited to eventsfrom endpointdetection tools, network and host-based IDS, firewall logs, system logs (Unix & Windows), mainframes, mid-range, applications, and databases.
- Interface with clientsvia chat, tickets, phonecallstoaddress their issues, concerns, and questions, and drive to satisfactory closure any issues that impact the service and its value
Experience
- Previous experience in raw log files review, data correlation, and analysis (i.e.firewalls logs, network flows, intrusion detection systems, system logs).
- Awareness of Information Security concepts (malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management).
- Previous customer support experience including the resolution of customer escalations, incident handling and reporting
Skills and/or abilities required to perform the essential functions of the job
- Goodtechnical communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellentproblem-solvingskills that would allow for the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Client-focused with a passion for delivering service excellence
- Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure
- Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
Education/Experience
- 1-3years of work experience inExperience in adjacent areas (Security Operations Center, Network Operations Center, System Administrator, Platform/Tool Support Engineer, IT Helpdesk support).
PreferredCertifications
- One or moreIndustry certification from vendorssuch as: ISC2, GIAC, EC-Council, Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA, ITIL, Unix, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
