Cloud and Network Services

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia's enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

As part of our team, you will:

The employee will be working in Nokia CNS GBC NAM Market Services Core Integration delivery team as an Solution Integration Specialist. Systems Integration (SIN) contains the integration and customization of Nokia SDM/IMS/5G/Messaging Core solutions and 3rd party platforms to meet customer requirements.

Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description.

Covers customer specific solution and software design, development, implementation, unit testing and verification of hardware, platform, software, and systems including maintenance support.

The System Integration Specialist is responsible for the integration and customization of Nokia solutions and 3rd party platforms to meet customer requirements.

Creates, deploys, and integrates; enables rating, charging and provisioning of new services based on the operator's processes on service integration and business management systems.

System Integration Specialist will assist our local engineers in customizing the solution for the SDM/IMS/5G/Messaging Core components.

In addition to this work the employee will also help our SLA team and deployment team on the below activity.

  • Verification lead for SDM/IMS/5G/Messaging Core functionality.
  • Support of testing/Integration activities in Customer labs
  • Take care of New Technology Introduction activities and it's deliverables for a new SDM/IMS/5G//Messaging Core components.
  • Act as technical mentor for enabling the TS team on problem solving, diagnosis, preventive actions.



Job Key Tasks & Responsibilities may include

  • Creates implementation plan and technical infrastructure documents.
  • Knows and works according to the Systems Integration (SI) delivery process.
  • Creates test strategy and test cases.
  • Contributes to gathering customer requirements, analysis, feature specification and requirement feasibility study including migration procedures.
  • Contributes to knowledge documentation in various tools like Sharepoint, ShareInside, Yammer, ShareNet, discussion forums.
  • Works autonomously and effectively in a mixed environment and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Uses analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective.
  • Shares initial ideas for professional direction of own organizational unit.



Your skills and experience

You have:

A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Systems Engineering or STEM related degree.

Experience in below areas:

- Basic understanding of Openstack architecture and fundamentals including network and storage concepts of Openstack (Neutron, Ceph, Cinder, DPDK, SR-IOV etc)

- Good understanding of virtualization concepts

- Basic understanding in VNF Onboarding using any kind of cloud setup (VMware, Open stack, Oracle etc) using Heat template, Tosca, YAML.

- Basic Python experience

- Basic troubleshooting skills, configuration management and documentation skills

- Good communication skills to explain issues and solutions to customers

- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and taking on new challenges

Nice to have:

- Kubernetes

- Container management including networking and storage

- Cloud MANO architectures Understanding

- Understanding of Devops methodologies and tools is plus
