The Enterprise Tools and Services team is responsible for ensuring that our Middleware platforms are available for service and can support the demands placed upon it from applications across the MassMutual Enterprise.  We are seeking a Webmethods, WebSphere, JBoss, IIS and Apache Admin who will be at a high level responsible for assisting with Webmethods Hosting AIX, Linux and Platforms.

The overall objective of the Webmethods Engineer is to build these applications in compliance to our Engineering standards and support the Middleware Infrastructure for these applications as a Subject Matter Expert, including troubleshooting issues, maintaining current patch levels, setting up and maintaining connectivity between application servers and web servers, understanding protocols and ciphers, and communicating and working well with developers and products support application teams. This role requires someone who can works independently but also be a team player.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Work on rotating 24/7 on-call shift
  • Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of in Webmethods Integration Server 10.x and above
  • System Administration of Webmethods instances
  • Terracotta administration and platform manager for applying patches
  • WebMethods Broker administration for 8.0 and 8.2 version of IS, configuration of IS, Brokers, MWS and Territory Gateways is necessary
  • WebMethods package deployment is necessary 
  • Trading Networks configuration and administration, good knowledge of setting up trading partners
  • Working in UNIX & Windows environments
  • Configuration of basic operating parameters such as the maximum session limits, log file options, port assignments, ACL, Role Mapping, LDAP roles configuration
  • Configuring SSL server and client certificates installation
  • Installation of IS, Command Central, MWS and applying the patches and fixes to the environment using UpdateManager 
  • Troubleshooting WebMethods server-side , troubleshooting flow services, WebMethods performance monitoring and tuning
  • Scripting to automate WebMethods admin activities and admin security controls implementation
  • Setting up monitoring Alerts through messages at sever log, threads, memory statistics, Server availability with SiteScope, Splunk, Xmatters etc. 
  • Administering users and groups and server security
  • Managing Daily Incident/Problem/Change assigned
  • Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive processes increasing efficiency
  • Orchestrating cross infrastructure team work groups to resolve or enhance system performance, incidents and maintenance
  • Educate the team and applications teams on new updates
  • Can communicate effectively with various user groups, e.g. developers and engineers, as well as remote team members
  • Contribute to annual budget planning process and manage APM platform capacity

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Acts as WebMethods SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • 3 years of experience as an WebMethods Administrator
  • Experienced in migration of WebMethods server from one version to other
  • Knowledge in WebMethods Integration Server 10.x and above 
  • Knowledge in Terracotta
  • Knowledge in WebMethods Broker administration for 8.0 and 8.2 version of IS
  • Knowledge in Universal Messaging, My WebMethods server, WebMethods Designer, Terracotta, JDBC Adapters, schedulers, JMS, TMC is necessary 
  • Knowledge in WebMethods package deployment is necessary 
  • Knowledge in UNIX environment is a must 
  • Knowledge in configuration of basic operating parameters 
  • Knowledge in client certificate management
  • Knowledge in Incident/Change/Problem Management process
  • Knowledge in documentation (Design Documents, SOPs etc.) 
  • Orchestrating cross infrastructure team work groups to resolve or enhance system performance, incidents and maintenance
  • Educate the team and applications teams on new updates
  • Can communicate effectively with various user groups, e.g. developers and engineers, as well as remote team members
  • Contribute to annual budget planning process and manage APM platform capacity

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 5 years of experience certified webMethods admin
  • Experience with Cloud technologies, Azure, AWS etc...
  • Insurance and/or financial services industry experience
  • Experience using JIRA, Service now, App Dynamics, Splunk, OpsBridge and xMatters etc
  • Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background on middleware technologies

 

Target job salary range $76,900.00 - $134,600.00 USD Annual
