Job Overview

The System Administrator role is part of our Technology Services team that supports our internal enterprise business applications focused on Automation, CRM, Accounting systems, collaboration, and workflows. This role is responsible for supporting, developing, configuring, testing, implementing, and maintaining these environments.

Job Responsibilities

1.) System Monitoring/Management - First and foremost you are responsible for ensuring our systems are up and running and being proactive with this monitoring to get ahead of potential issues. You will do this in a variety of ways including:

a. Maintain 3rd party solutions and integrations by ensuring they are connected and running including updating integration credentials when necessary.

b. Monitor health of the system/platform through dashboards and other reports. You are responsible for understanding trends in the system and escalating trends that could be a potential issue in the future.

c. Monitor daily and scheduled jobs and automation processes to ensure they are successful. If not, you will work with specific teams to fix if there are issues.

d. Apply or supervise updates and patches along with data migrations with the system along with being a rotating on call resource if issues arise after hours.

2.) User Management - You are responsible for ensure all users have the right access to the system. This includes adding, deactivating, and changing permissions when necessary.

3.) Troubleshooting/Triage - You are the frontline support for our systems and there to root cause and prioritize issues based on impact so they can be worked on accordingly. In this triage process you will be responsible for:

a. For individual user issues you will work with the users to fix the issue and educate them for the future.

b. For overall system issues you will be responsible for fully documenting what is happening and who it is impacting. You will also create the initial incident or development card and notify the correct resources.

4.) System and Process Optimization - You are responsible for identifying and driving system optimization and enhancements when possible. When new requests come in you will be responsible for understanding the process and identifying better ways of accomplishing the changes when possible. You are expected to run system optimizer reports and be an input to the product roadmap on enhancements to be made in the future to help the system run better and scale with the organization.

5.) New Solution Delivery - You will be responsible for changes requested to the system to keep up with the expanding business needs. You will then be responsible for releasing this new functionality and ensure functionality after releases.

a. As a System Admin I, an example of new functionality you may be responsible for adding would be new fields, additional drop downs, small changes to existing functionality or config file changes.

6.) Documentation - You will be responsible to ensure that our system documentation is up to date as well as job aids and process documents.

a. Creating help and FAQ documents as new cases come in to ensure speedy future resolution.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

- Prior experience providing system administration or application support for business systems.

- One (1) to (3) years of experience administering a business software or technical support.

- Curious about learning new technologies and process

Preferred Technical Skills & Competencies

- Bachelor's degree in IT or Business is preferred

- Financial Services industries experience is a plus

- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office are essential; experience with CRM systems preferred

- Salesforce, NetSuite, or other CRM experience as either a super user or Administrator.

- Experience working in a ticketing system like Service Now.

- Experience working with automation tools like Blue Prism.

- Ability to communicate effectively to team members on a regular basis
