We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team supporting Power & Controls. This position requires the preparation of purchase order awards and support documentation in accordance with departmental policies and FAR/DFAR/ITAR/CAS regulations.
This is a remote work position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform cost analysis, price analysis, and assist with technical assessments.
- Participate in continuous improvement events.
- Assist other supply chain procurement specialist team member(s) with day-to-day activities as needed.
- Monitor supplier's delivery commitments and work with them to ensure contract is met.
- Submit RFQ's/RFP's to suppliers to obtain pricing.
- This position includes the negotiation, documentation, placement, and management of complex products under various contract types.
- Build and maintain constructive, professional relationships with Customers and Suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with program FAR requirements, and purchase order terms and conditions. Participate in program and commodity supply chain procurement reviews
- Manage complex supply chain commodity procurements from supplier selection to RFP/RFQ submission, proposal/quote receipt, analyzing proposal/quote, negotiating proposal/quote, documenting PO, and monitoring supplier issues and on time in full delivery.
- Demonstrate ability to successfully manage long term, complex supplier relationships.
- Demonstrate knowledge of government regulations (FAR/DFAR/ITAR/CAS).
- Ability to work closely with internal customers (PM, Engineering, Program, and Supplier Quality)
- Domestic Travel may be required 10%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
- Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
- Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP experience is preferred
