Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating divisional procurement, resource scheduling, and construction activities to translate supply chain opportunities and constraints into optimal production efficiency and effectiveness. Optimizes the supply chain through systematic support and communication, ensuring that allocation and scheduling of goods support quality, cost, and timing standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Collaborate with Procurement, Scheduling, and Field Operations leadership to understand strategic business plans, mapping out greatest areas of risk and opportunity.
*Reduce cycle time and optimize number of production units through detailed communication and coordination with suppliers and internal team members.
*Customize reporting and forecasting tools to drive optimal value for at risk categories.
*Optimize supply chain at community and lot level, translating constraints to action plans to minimize risk.
*Improve processes and communication between internal teams and trade partners (including across Divisions).
*Develop material and labor optimization solutions using Value Engineering tools and methodology.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
*Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities
*Creates opportunities for employee growth
*Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills/behaviors)

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction, Business, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent
*ISCM accreditation or equivalent preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
*Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 5 years
*Business acumen including the interpretation of income statements, balance sheets, and cost structures
*Purchasing and supply chain experience
*Ability to develop and improve vendor partnerships
*Construction knowledge and trade category expertise
*Ability to lead change in a continuous improvement environment
*Ability to positively influence and lead others outside of the Division
