Overview
Responsible for supervising a small Editing/Auditing team to accomplish individual and collective productivity, quality, and timeliness goals. Defines team objectives, assigns responsibilities and duties, and ensure daily operational activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitors, measures and reports on productivity results. Motivates, trains, coaches and counsels staff as appropriate. Actively participates in operational improvement activities within the department which support both Priority Complaints and Inbound Correspondence.
Job Description

  • Leads team to ensure job responsibilities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures in order to meet established individual and collective productivity, quality, and timeliness goals
  • Defines team objectives based on management directives and/or cascaded department goals
  • Manages daily responsibilities by assigning work to individuals to be performed according to established policies, processes, schedules, priorities and quality standards
  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure open communication, mutual understanding of team and fulfillment site goals and objectives.
  • Manages work schedules, approves timecards, resolves employee issues, provides motivation, coaching and counseling as needed
  • Establishes and communicates the requirements and accountabilities for superior job performance
  • Encourages employee initiative and recognizes employee achievement
  • Develops and/or ensures that training and skill building aids are created and appropriately implemented
  • Work with training to publish and build training materials for new hire training and continued education training as to how to use the approved templates and when/how to include free form text
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrates behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Financial Services and/or mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years business letter writing or editing experience
  • Thorough knowledge of RESPA as it pertains to qualified written requests, through knowledge of default and non-default mortgage loan servicing and strong understanding of key regulations and risk impacts within Loan Servicing
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written in a professional manner
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Understand business implications of decisions; ability to align work with strategic goals
  • Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
  • Team player with strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently
  • Results oriented and performance management focused
  • Proven track record at delivering timely results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical skills, using sound judgment
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in planning and setting goals
