Overview
The primary function of the Loss Mitigation Supervisor is to oversee day to day operations within the loss mitigation department. This includes but is not limited to; supervising the people and process related to loss mitigation and or foreclosure alternative functions while meeting servicing level expectation at the individual, team, department and company level. The supervisor is to ensure staff is complying with company policy and procedures as well as State and Investor initiatives and or directives.
Job Description

  • Supervises and monitors loss mitigation activities and workflow to ensure goals of the department and staff are accomplished.
  • Assigns and load level workloads to staff, ensure compliance with service level agreements
  • Ensures staff completes assigned tasks and or responsibilities within set timelines as well as provides timely, friendly and effective service to customers in those loss mitigation functions that require customer contact
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing and recommend new hire candidates for hire
  • Responsible for new hire and continued education training with the loss mitigation individuals/team
  • and training employees
  • Responsible to provide feedback to employees on performance including improvement expectations
  • Perform quality reviews within each area of loss mitigation to ensure compliance
  • Look for process improvements within each function of loss mitigation
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Self-management and distribution of work load
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Training Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong working knowledge of GSE, HUD, HAMP, HAFA, collections, loss mitigation, and foreclosure
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
