Job Summary: Under limited supervision, responsible for development of the organization's strategic plan(s). Conducts environmental scans, organizational positioning analysis and other studies. Develops concepts into strategies including quantitative analyses and recommendations; screens plan for strategic fit, feasibility and profitability prior to presentation to senior management. Coordinates input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans, best practices and global and multi-discipline perspectives. Conducts external research and quantitative analysis as required. Identifies, researches, analyzes and makes recommendations to support the organization's growth objectives.
Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:

  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity within a sensitive data environment
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to take abstract concepts and develop them into actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated data analysis skills using Microsoft Office Applications (Office 365, Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate at the executive and C-suite level, and experience working with executive level on enterprise initiatives
  • Ability to work well in ambiguity and comfortable with leading change efforts
  • Capable of handling multiple applications/projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of FedEx strategy and how that strategy can be enabled through the IT organization and its capabilities
  • Experience working in SAFe/Agile environment considered a plus


Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Collierville, TN.
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) or more years equivalent work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement or market/competitive analysis. Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical and critical thinking ability with time management and management skills. Strong communications and human relations skills.
