The Strategy & BizOps team drives and executes against the company’s go-to-market strategy. We leverage quantitative and qualitative analysis to create long-term business strategies and help execute on Waymo’s commercial deployment. The team is analytically driven, with a proactive mentality, focused on finding and delivering on high impact projects.

In this role, you'll:

  • Influence competitive strategy by deeply understanding the industries and markets (ride-hail, trucking, delivery) Waymo serves and providing insights into areas of opportunity
  • Assess the competitive landscape and track industry developments to generate insights for Waymo’s leadership team
  • Manage and own Waymo’s repository of industry and market data and continue to innovate on our research methodologies
  • Identify emerging technology and industry trends to ensure they are incorporated into Waymo’s overall strategy
  • Source, organize and analyze various complex data sources to derive insights
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to report on the state of the industry

At a minimum we’d like you to have:

  • 4+ years of experience 
  • Excellent analytical aptitude, experienced in working with and managing structured / unstructured datasets (e.g. Excel, SQL, R, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Experience merging qualitative and quantitative information into actionable insights
  • Comfortable in leadership-level business discussions and able to effectively communicate complex data to wide audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage and collaborate with xFN stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

It’s preferred if you have:

  • A sense of urgency and ownership around delivering on team objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including taking an entrepreneurial and creative approach, attention to detail, and demonstrated collaboration instincts
  • Expertise with primary and secondary research methodologies
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of research platforms and tools (e.g. CapIQ, Pitchbook, FactSet)
