Strategy Manager

The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking a Strategy Manager. This position will be a key analytical role in helping to develop Novelis' short and long-term strategies. The position is responsible for the analysis and development of key central initiatives to resolve Long-Term North America strategy to support recommendations as well as strategic option development and decision making. In this role, the jobholder will work with internal subject matter authorities to capture information, synthesize business & technical concepts, and help building strategic business metrics that drives decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models, perform market analysis, and develop cases to confirm the value (or not) of these opportunities.
  • Identifies and aligns with business partners to support business initiatives, provides input to project roadmap and project prioritization process
  • Actively investigates new growth opportunities that will come up through a long-range strategic planning process, through an agile review of business cases. NNA 5+ year supply and demand / capacity analysis in positive relationship with Supply Chain
  • Develops strategic presentations
  • Partners with plants and business leaders to align regional view with plant views
  • Analyzes strategic options & recommendations
  • Product segmentation
  • Product profitability analysis to support strategic portfolio alternatives
  • Collaborate with internal partners to drive Novelis' sustainability messaging and align on customer requests
  • Cultivate positive relationships to drive sustainability objectives with multiple team members
  • Refine and implement the appropriate performance tracking metrics to ensure actions are accurately connected to and driving the results
  • Lead and report the sustainability performance
  • Develop expertise in Life Cycle Assessment Methodology

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in analytical fields of study (Finance, Business, Engineering)
  • MBA or other advanced degree (Juris Doctor, MS Engineering) preferred
  • Distinguished academic or intellectual achievement (highly regarded academic program, GPA, test scores) preferred
  • 3-5 years of proven experience
  • Experience developing and communicating material to a senior level audience, preferred
  • Strong ambitious interest
  • Showed strengths in building financial models
  • Demonstrated ability at assembling and synthesizing data from a number of internal and external sources
  • Project management experience
  • Confirmed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people.
