Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in a strategy or advisory role working with executives
  • 3 years of experience in communications (i.e. executive communications)
  • Experience writing for and working directly with C-suite executives, Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs), or other executive leaders



Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, Master's, or an advanced degree
  • Experience in advising executive leaders on strategy, organization, and operations topics
  • Experience crafting compelling human-focused stories as the content lead for a technology company
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and excellent attention to detail in a matrix organizational structure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Google's Search, Geo, Commerce and Ads (SGCA) Partnerships organization works with a wide range of external partners to help build Google products through product-enabling relationships (e.g., data licensing, content partnerships, API/platform integrations, and technology licensing).

As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in defining and driving strategic projects with executive leaders on creating/executing internal and executive communication plans. In this role, you will be a trusted adviser to executive leaders by helping them deliver written and verbal communications in a way that resonates and builds trust with their audience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver leadership and strategic guidance on specific topics, and collaborate with the broader SGCA Strategy and Operations team and other SGCA leads on cross-product area efforts
  • Build and deliver communications plans that integrate into the wider Global Partnerships and Google communications strategy
  • Create and manage channels to help executives effectively reach their audience, share information, and receive feedback
  • Develop, write, and edit communications for executives (i.e., emails and internal presentations)
  • Manage internal communication aspects of project plans to ensure internal audiences receive clear communications during times of uncertainty and change
