Strategic Plans and Policies Expert - TS/SCI

KBR is hiring a Strategic Plans and Policies Expert supporting Special Communications in Reston, VA. This position is responsible for one or more aspects of the design, planning, coordination, development, testing, integration, deconfliction, and deployment of highly sensitive communications systems, sensors, and technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Special Communications expertise and support to Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) elements
  • Provide detailed knowledge of the Special Communications mission area
  • Develop and integrate division level correspondence to executive level audiences within the DoD and IC.
  • Provide expertise in planning, coordinating, reviewing, and editing content of scientific, technical, and programmatic material for publishing and briefing senior level audiences within the IC.
  • Create White Papers and executive level briefings within the classified environment
  • Understand and utilize program management software to develop and implement a trackable phased program plan pertaining to Special Communications efforts, programs, strategies/policies, and developments
  • Evaluate current and future requirements for integration into operational users' Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
  • Provide expertise across a range of communication methods
  • Coordinate and deconflict the use of sensitive technology within the DoD and IC


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field (Management, Leadership, Speech)
  • 10+ years' experience working with Special Communications requirements
  • Experience working closely with government customers, System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA), Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), and other contract support
  • Strong research skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers, both for program development and program status


Highly Desired Qualifications / Knowledge

  • Master of Science Degree preferred
  • Qualification within or direct experience with DoD or IC Special Operations
  • Experience with cable and intelligence product writing


Travel: OCONUS travel may be required. (10%)

Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI security clearance w/ Poly
