Overview of the Role
The Senior Manager, Strategic Alliances will be responsible for developing and managing our sales alignment strategy and Go-To-Market plan with Salesforce. The role is responsible to develop and drive the execution of programs and initiatives which leads to joint pipeline and revenue. Key to the position is effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders including sales, technology alliances, product management, marketing, and operations. We are looking for candidates that are collaborative, results driven, customer centric, and a self starter.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver on financial goals (ie. Alliance Influenced Revenue) and associated KPIs (ie. Net New Logos, # of Marketing Leads, Opportunities, ROI from investments).
- Work closely with PagerDuty’s Sales organization to broker opportunity alignment and field-level relationships with Salesforce account teams.
- Represent both the voice of the partner to PagerDuty and the voice of PagerDuty to the partner as required to resolve issues and attain success with the customer
- Define and communicate PagerDuty’s value propositions to alliance partner cross-functional teams (alliances, marketing, sales & delivery) to align our GTM messaging & motions
- Manage GTM executive level relationships and navigate the partner’s organization through relationship building and networking across levels and teams.
- Work closely with PagerDuty technology alliances, product marketing and product management on the joint value proposition and identifying whitespace through roadmap discussions.
- Ensure our “Better Together” story with Salesforce aligns to the overall Go-To-Market strategy and work with Product Marketing and Partner Marketing on campaign messaging and positioning.
- Act as the ‘expert’ on Salesforce, understanding their business and sales drivers, key players at executive and sales management levels, and identify the best paths for PagerDuty to monetize the partnership measured by partner influenced and partner sourced pipeline and revenue.
- Understanding of the Customer Service industry landscape and able to explain how our solution integrates with Salesforce Service Cloud to key stakeholders internally and externally.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus
- 5+ years of related IT industry experience preferably with an enterprise software and/or SaaS company
- Proven record in helping develop a partner & alliance routes to market strategy, Salesforce experience is a plus
- Sales or marketing experience with an understanding of the different partner types -- reseller, cloud provider, ecosystem alliances, managed service providers, and system integrators
- Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; good presentation skills
- Ability to synthesize data into clear actionable statements
- Demonstrated ability to see and communicate the big picture
- Self-motivated, passionate, innovative, collaborative, creative, and analytical
- Demonstrated ability to plan and set priorities and identify and resolve problems to produce measurable results
