Job Summary

The Sr. System Administrator will address software performance related support issues and provide first and second level service desk support.  This role will also implement and maintain cloud-based software service solutions.  In addition, this senior level role will provide third level service desk support and act as an escalation point for complex application support issues.

 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teammates to complete complex tasks for large IT project initiatives
  • Define and review departmental documentation for software applications including cloud related architectures
  • Implement and maintain F&G software to meet the organization’s current and future requirements
  • Work with multiple applications, including cloud applications and infrastructure
  • Generate system performance and utilization reports
  • Participate in the management and maintenance of the company’s virtualization environments, including how software applications interact with virtualization environments
  • Interact with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current industry standards relating to enterprise software applications and how they are installed, configured, and supported in an enterprise environment
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of corporate policies and procedures as related to software systems, which includes device use and security
  • Provide third level service desk support
  • Act as an escalation point for complex application support issues
  • Implement and maintain cloud-based software service solutions
  • Support and migrate applications on cloud platforms
  • Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines

Experience & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred emphasis in computer science or MIS) or equivalent experience
  • 4-7 years of experience in Software System Administration
  • Experience with Horizon View, ESXi, and server virtualization, including technical knowledge in creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual environments
  • Understanding and working knowledge of various versions of Microsoft 365, including experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, and ImageRight
  • Understanding of DNS, E-Mail Routing, Email Tracking, SMTP / application Mail Relay, Disaster Recovery concepts - Single item, single mailbox, Exchange Server, Exchange Site
  • ADFS & SSO implementation and troubleshooting
  • Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of Active Directory Administration and Management including user, group, and GPO implementation
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Industry best practices
  • Experience with Internal Audits
  • Vulnerability remediation experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with ADFS & SSO implementation and troubleshooting
  • Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS or Azure
  • Experience / Working knowledge of Active Directory Administration and Management including user, group, and GPO implementation
  • Experience / Working knowledge of ITIL and Industry best practices
  • Experience working within an IT organization in insurance or financial services
  • Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification
  • Experience working within an effective SOX/internal control environment
