Sr. System Administrator
Fluidra’s looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team at our East Coast office in Newnan, GA.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and support Windows Server, including software and hardware installation/configuration.
- Design, Implement, and troubleshoot virtualization using VMware/Nutanix HC.
- Implement, support, and maintain backups to disk and tape of servers, applications, and databases; Veeam/HYCU
- Maintain server environment stability by reviewing monitoring tools and applying patches after testing.
- Participate in infrastructure design planning and implementation.
- Lead Infrastructure projects and perform project management tasks as required.
- Manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Document all routine tasks, incidents, change management scheduling and tracking, and database policies and standards.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation in Tanium.
- Interact with customers, management, and staff on a technical level, as required
- Serve as the technical expert in Server systems administration and systems management
- Provide support with escalated help desk requests via Service Now
- Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to improve operational efficiency
- Cross-train and instruct other IT team members on specialized skills/training.
- Perform tasks as required by management/supervisory staff.
- Provide after-hours support for infrastructure weekend maintenance and related emergencies
- 25% of travel (Domestic or international)
WHAT WE SEEK
- 3+ years of experience as an expert-level Windows System Administrator
- Proven experience working in highly collaborative environments.
- Be a part of an international team and collaborating with HQ in Europe
- Expert understanding of Windows server trends and best practices
- Expertise in securing systems, providing audit evidence, Cluster/HA, and standards implementation
- Automation (PowerShell, etc…) a plus
- Tanium administration is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting/performance tuning skills required.
- Ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server, middleware, or storage tiers).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to plan, take initiatives to accomplish objectives in a timely fashion, and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with project team members, supervisors, and other employees.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
