TheTechnology Network Engineering and Operations - HQ Network teamis responsible for researching, deploying, and maintaining a highly available and scalable network for Edward Jones. The team is responsible for the campus edge network (wired and wireless), data center network, and DNS and application load balancing platforms (cloud and on-prem). This team works closely with the Backbone Network team, Technology Security, Computing Services, Software Infrastructure, and Business Solutions Development. We are looking for a skilled network engineer who is a continuous learner and is capable of delivering timely and high-quality results in a dynamic environment.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience in Technology / Information Systems.
• Five or more years of hands-on experience with leading vendor's routers, switches, wireless solutions, application load balancers, DNS, etc.
• Five or more years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining networks
• Experience with packet / protocol analyzers, and network management / monitoring tools
• Automation and scripting skills are a plus
• Ability to develop, peer review, and execute detailed implementation plans and abide by technology change controls
• Ability to develop, peer review, and audit detailed network drawings, standards, and procedures, etc.
• General knowledge or experience in other areas of Information Technology (security, computing, operating systems, etc.)
• Ability to collect / analyze relevant information, develop recommendations, and execute approved plans
• Ability to assess and align with business objectives and deliver appropriate, timely and high-quality results
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and mentor peers
