JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager of Portfolio Operations reports to the Director, Portfolio Management. This position is accountable for team, Strategy, Evolution/Maturation, Integrity, Governance, Solution/Tool, Analysis, Reporting, Process, Training and Adoption and Content within the cross-functional Product and Technology Project Portfolio Management area.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the Portfolio Operations team members
  • Develops and manages the roadmap and plan to mature our project portfolio processes and works to mature our portfolio management plan and practices
  • Evolves and maintains the project portfolio hierarchy and logical structuring
  • Ensures project portfolio data accuracy, organization, integrity and completeness
  • Gains trust of those whom consume portfolio data as a reliable source of truth for all work in the organization
  • Collaborates with various departments and Leadership in the Organization through coordinated service delivery and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Enforces governance over portfolio processes and standards across internal and external teams as deemed appropriate by management
  • Collaborates with Product Owners to drive the roadmap of new feature functionality and or plugins for portfolio management solutions (JIRA and Confluence based, and internally developed solutions)
  • Ensures all projects align with and achieve strategic goals of the department and company.
  • Manages the ongoing and recurring audits of portfolio data to ensure portfolio integrity
  • Responsible for all executive and management facing reports derived from portfolio data
  • Responsible for all process design and documentation around portfolio processes
  • Responsible for department metrics that will feed several executive metrics reports
  • Coordinates recurring training sessions for new team members to ensure understanding and compliance around portfolio data, consumption of data and management of data.
  • Responsible for ensuring the build out of self-help/training materials for all things portfolio
  • Responsible for a high level understanding of all existing and new projects into the portfolio
  • Other duties as required


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Has a solid working knowledge of a variety of Project Management disciplines including Agile/Scrum SAFe and Waterfall; Formal Project Management certification a plus
  • Knowledge of Jira
  • Knowledge of Confluence
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, Visio)
  • Ability to write/edit queries in JQL or SQL
  • Familiarity with the SDLC, Agile methodologies

PREFERRED - Cable industry background - a thorough familiarity with cable customer facing products, technologies, acronyms and projects
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree or technical field or work experience.
Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.

The pay for this position has a minimum of $107,600.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
