Anaplan is looking for a tenacious Sr. Marketing Business Operations Manager to join Global Marketing Operations in, Minneapolis, MN (open to Remote, US). The Senior Marketing Business Operations Manager is a forward thinker primarily responsible for driving the operational arm between marketing operations and sales operations, focused most specifically on enabling Sales Development Representative (SDR) success. Carrying forward established SDR operations, and bringing critical thinking to drive the next-gen of SDR operations to Anaplan, this leader will engineer process as our go-to-market (GTM) motion evolves, with a particular drive to enable efficient decision-making, effective execution, and scale, leveraging automation, illuminating insights, and documenting practices every step of the way. This individual contributor role will have several key partnerships to maintain/grow across the GTM function – SDR regional leads, SDR enablement, field marketing, marketing operations, marketing performance, sales operations – as well, many across the broader organization – IT, procurement, legal. This leader will also develop strong relationships with external technology providers to establish the right mix of technology and process to support Anaplan’s GTM motions, enabling SDR success toward exceeding business goals and objectives.

The role comprises the following key responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Sales Development leadership in operationally maintaining the Anaplan SDR pipeline engine, including QBR contributions, ongoing capacity planning, and KPI development
  • Deliver actionable insights of SDR activity status and KPI performance for GTM leaders, stakeholders, and SDRs to inform key decisions and next-best actions
  • Drive operational processes and supporting systems across SDR activities, SLA’s, real-time reporting, forecasting, ensuring best practices for the demand gen funnel
  • Collaborate with other revenue operations teams (marketing ops, sales ops, partner ops, customer success ops) in village GTM motion
  • Manage/maintain lead routing process, in keeping with GTM motion and in cooperation with the Salesforce admin team
  • Guardian of the SDR tech stack including vendor relationships, best practice implementations, ongoing system administration, and utilization monitoring
  • Partner closely with IT on data hygiene across owned systems, evaluation of new technology, and implementation roadmaps
  • Partner closely with SDR enablement lead in writing documentation on policies and procedures, lead training sessions when needed, creating a collection of onboarding and self-help on-demand resources as needed


Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills

  • Min 5 – 7 years CRM, prospecting, lead management technologies, particularly sales enablement platforms, specifically Salesforce experience beneficial
  • Excel proficiency critical
  • Proven demonstrated experience in articulating and communicating insights beyond data points, how results ladder up/down, fostering conversations where improvements can be made
  • Proven demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional teams toward common goals and objectives via effective project management skills
  • Proven demonstrated experience juggling several key initiatives at once, knowing how to drive teams toward quick wins, key milestones, and ultimate outcomes
  • Capability to self-direct and take initiative to solve problems with solutions, aligned to strategy and objectives articulated by leadership
  • Comfortable articulating Marketing Operations and SDR terminology
  • Understanding how to measure and evangelize the SDR business for internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Proven written communications, presentation, and documentation skills

 Preferred skills and technical familiarity

  • Specific experience in GTM technology ideal: LeanData, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Drift, ZoomInfo, Outreach.io
  • Understanding of the day in the life of a sales development representative – prior background in Sales Development a clear advantage
  • Adding additional insight, and a growth mindset, will elevate your contribution in this role
  • Anaplan model-building experience ideal
