As Senior Manager of Technology Development (TD) Sustainability Operations, you will be an integral leader for TD's Sustainability program with responsibility for leading the development and implementation of the site's sustainability roadmap, initiatives, and goals. The position will partner closely across multiple organizations, including Environmental Compliance, Health and Safety (EHS), TD process areas, Facilities, Procurement, as well as a liaison with Global teams of impact. You will also be part of the Facilities Leadership team to ensure TD's sustainability vision is incorporated into the operational, engineering, and budgeting process with the Facilities organization.
In this role you will partner closely with multiple teams from Technology Development, Global and Site Facilities, Procurement, EHS, and Manufacturing Central Team, as well as external vendors, external industry agencies and consultants to fulfill the position and group responsibilities. This position will also have interface with the company's Sustainability Director and Program Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Develop and lead TD's sustainability strategy, which includes partnering with the existing TD's Sustainability team and external vendors, as required, to drive road map to hit targeted improvements with each generation of tools/equipment
  • Collaborate with TD's Sustainability core team to set short term and long term goal targets associated with improvements in the site's emissions, energy usage, waste recycling, water recycling and any other applicable initiative
  • Drive innovation mind set into organization to deliver on innovative sustainability projects to enable best in class environmental friendly memory and storage solutions
  • Partner with TD's Sustainability core team to plan capex and opex budgets required to deliver on sustainability commitments
  • Provide oversight of budget management to ensure sustainability projects are funded and deliver results at anticipated budget levels
  • Understand and drive the site's Renewable Energy (RE) commitment of 100% RE by 2025
  • Represent TD on Micron's Sustainability Venture team to drive innovative solutions from startup companies to support Micron's Sustainability targets
  • Interact with TD Executives to showcase the team's sustainability initiatives and wins
  • Participate on Global Sustainability team and provide TD perspective in building Micron's overall sustainability vision
  • Stay informed of industry and relevant benchmark Sustainability initiatives as well as key trends to provide innovative TD Sustainability vision
  • Partner with Environmental Compliance team to ensure sustainability initiatives do not offset permit and other applicable requirements and/or conditions.
  • Ensure maintenance of sustainability monitoring equipment and device are tracked with Facilities and EHS support.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (
  • Prepare executive reports, communications, and training on TD's sustainability performance, support internal and external inquiries concerning TD's sustainability issues

  • Invest time in coaching and mentoring people
  • Help team members learn, grow and stay current on latest sustainability development that will support and enhance their area of expertise
  • Encourage the team and network to innovate and to be creative
  • Plan and schedule program timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel


Education
Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related field
Experience

  • 8+ years' experience in semiconductor or facilities related engineering
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • At least 1 year experience in sustainability related initiatives
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders and consultants
  • Strong interpersonal skill set, ensuring clear and sound communication
  • Capable of compiling executive level reports and presentation materials
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Program and Project management experience
