Financial Planning/Analysis
Provides expertise and leadership in financial planning, budgeting and expense management for specific business units.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Preparing operating budgets with and for various departments to support organization's expense management goals.
  • Designing, preparing and distributing expense reports tracked against budget expectations.
  • Working with various departments to assist with their expense management strategies and procedures.
  • Working with junior staff to help them develop their expense management awareness and budget planning and tracking skills.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and/or Information Systems (developing and delivering dashboards and reporting)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years' experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and/or Information Systems (developing and delivering dashboards and reporting)
  • University Degree in Business Intelligence (BI) and/or Information Systems or Finance
  • Experience with designing and building self-service reporting and analytic information applications in the financial services space
  • Familiarity with Tableau and/or OAC reporting visualization tools
  • Finance experience, specifically with TIAA finance data
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team of data analysts, developers, business strategy and finance professionals
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate to technical requirements
  • Experience preparing requirements documentation and coordinating implementation with IT and internal team members
  • Experience with IT Software Development Life Cycle from requirements through production deployment

Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for and support the Finance management reporting process and strategic projects
  • Maintain a strong working relationship and collaborate closely with BFOs, Finance Data Office, IT and CFP&A Leads to ensure alignment of activities and prioritization decisions
  • Work with various departments to manage and act as Shared Service point of contact for data enhancements necessary for integration into customized finance dashboards, reports and analytic tools
  • Manage new work intake & development, data issue resolution and governance processes in partnership with IT and the Finance Data Office
  • Work with on and offshore internal data & reporting teams to help manage implementation of intake requests; manage to completion, resolve questions and issues; prepare requirements to enable timely and accurate publishing of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly Finance management dashboards and reporting packages
  • Translate needs into new requirements for IT, FDO or internal Data Integration Team and manage to completion
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain procedures to validate data leveraged in Finance management dashboards; produce and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and necessary documentation; ensure proper permissions and AD groups are maintained; communicate updates and changes to BFO and CFP&A partners
  • Act as Shared Service point of contact and confirm FDO intake and governance processes are followed

Potential Salary: $124,070.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
