As Senior Manager, of the Data Center SSD NVMQRA team at Micron Technology, Inc., you will lead a team driving new product qualifications, ensuring ongoing quality and reliability, developing product quality/reliability methodologies. You will collaborate with product and development teams to understand customer reliability requirements and drive the product reliability assessment from beginning to end of life Microns data center SSD products. In this role you and your team will be responsible for driving product qualifications, driving risk assessment, reviewing corrective action effectiveness, and develop fail modeling. You will mentor direct reports through collaboration and effective performance management systems. While in this role, you will also be responsible for supporting corporate business initiatives, providing direction thereof, and driving a clear understanding within your functional area.
Conduct New Product Qualification • Lead team of engineers driving and leading internal new product qualifications • Drive comprehensive understanding of qual fails and failure rates including detailed qual data analysis• Perform risk assessment at all decision points within qualification cycle • Review qualification data and requirements, signing off on requirements have been met • Develop, communicate, and drive ratification of new qualification requirements and procedures
Develop Product Reliability Methodology and Specifications • Coordinate with research and development teams • Coordinate with Reliability system engineering teams • Develop product reliability tests to assess new System failure cases• Drive necessary specification/qualification/reliability criteria changes on existing products based on customer feedback, internal learning, and industry standards
Provide Expertise and Consultation • Support Global Qual Meetings • On-board new team members • Train, mentor, and develop team • Provide part qualification data for internal and external customers • Interface with Engineering groups on quality issues • Provide product Risk assessment and disposition of the issues if arises• Sustaining product qualification support
Qualifications • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field • 10 years of semiconductor industry experience in Product Engineering, Validation and/or Quality organization• Proficiency statistical modeling tool like JMP • Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and supporting software like JIRA • Knowledge of SSD's, NAND or DRAM, VLSI or system engineering
