What we are looking for:

• We are looking for someone who is able to further the growth of our community and the involvement of its members. You should have experience growing and running large tech communities while managing a team that supports that goal.
• As Senior Manager, Developer Community, you will play an integral role on the team by implementing strategies, tactics, and delivering a wide variety of programs and initiatives to drive community activity and interest in Neo4j and graph technology across different channels and new audiences. 
• Reporting to the Senior Director, Developer Community, you will be working closely with the globally distributed Developer Relations team in a collaborative environment. You’ll also engage with other Neo4j departments including Ecosystem, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, and Professional Services. 

The types of things you will be doing include:

• Serve as one of the public faces of Neo4j in our online community and other channels.
• Contribute to the community strategy, including aspects such as communications, channels, potential programs, and initiatives
• Interact with community members to ensure positive experiences
• Deploy community programs and activities, such as identifying, cultivating, and managing Neo4j community contributors and champions, ensuring their growth with opportunities for professional development, etc.
• Hire, build and grow talent to support our initiatives
• Solicit, gather, evaluate and collaborate on the implementation of user feedback to optimize the community experience
• Coordinate internal and external resources to drive initiatives and execute on the operational community plan
• Share insights and work cross-functionally to influence product development, marketing campaigns, etc.
• Continually thinking about how to provide more value to the community and have it provide more value to its members
• Advocate for the community inside of Neo4j across all departments - educate, train, and onboard employees to best leverage community channels.
• Prepare reports with qualitative and quantitative data, insights, and analytics to communicate trends and the value of community to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be driven to help others be successful and is curious about what motivates them
• Have extensive online community management and moderation experience, growing and running larger, engaged, inclusive, and equitable (tech) communities
• Have an interest in software technologies, data, and/or databases
• Have a track record of converting strategies into initiatives and tactics to drive results that yield positive ROI
• Understand the importance of stakeholder involvement, management, and engagement
• Be able to speak and communicate effectively publicly as well as with all levels of the organization
• Be comfortable with working with metrics, baselining initiatives and measuring progress, taking a data-driven approach to problem-solving
• Have track record with planning and executing programs and initiatives
• Be able to build and manage a team of engaged professionals
• Be empathetic and a critical thinker
• Be motivated, hungry, and able to make decisions on the fly in a fast-paced environment
• Be comfortable working remotely and collaborate across time zones and cultures
