Job Purpose:
The Test Data Systems team is responsible for the Automation and Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) used in engine development labs in Mossville-US, Peterborough-UK, and Wuxi-China. We work closely with Validation, Performance, Emissions, Instrumentation, and Facilities teams to ensure maximum return from time spent in the test cell. We deliver a comprehensive, feature-rich, flexible, optimized, and robust set of automated test solutions (logic and infrastructure) that can be used by our partners to efficiently develop power systems.
Description:
As a Sr IT Analyst based at the Mossville Tech-Center Campus, you will provide technical leadership and coordinate support for the IT systems that host our test automation, instrumentation, and data acquisition solutions. You will lead a team of up to 5 technicians and work closely with our global team of Product Owners, Software Architects, Automation Developers, and Testers as well as GIS, E&T IT, and local business partners to ensure compliance with all cybersecurity requirements and deliver strategic improvement projects to ensure our automated test environment is secure, robust, and optimized. You will create and maintain an organizational climate and culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement, commitment, and a sense of urgency towards business success.

  • Proactively manage our I.T. infrastructure (hardware and software) that allows our test facilities to operate 24/7
  • Champion effective Change Management to improve our I.T. environment - within the team, across organizations, across projects & business partners
  • Confidently communicate across functional areas to drive resolution of issues and risks
  • Understand network infrastructure (switches, routers, cabling, architecture) and work with GIS to keep the Test Labs network managed and maintained
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis on issues impacting computers and make necessary corrections or make recommendations to the site on changes to improve/resolve the impact
  • Coordinate support for PC operating system and security patch updates/deployments
  • Manage software licenses/activations for key applications


Basic Requirements:

  • Requires a relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Information technology implementation and PC related hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the workgroup, as well employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills


Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Experience supporting I.T. infrastructure in a continuous operation test facility or lab environment
  • True passion for Information Technology and elegant digital solutions
  • Experience with some level of software development (Python, C#, etc.)
