About the role:

The Senior Director of Health Economics & Outcomes Research will design, develop and lead a world class clinical research program that demonstrates the impact of Grand Rounds/Doctor on Demand’s product portfolio, which currently includes Virtual Care (tele-urgent, specialty/Expert Medical Opinion), Navigation and Behavioral Health. We are looking for a leader with health services/population health experience who can support research across the many conditions and populations we serve. We are especially interested in leaders with advanced training in research approaches such as a PhD, MS, etc. This position reports to the Grand Rounds + Doctor on Demand Vice President, Clinical Strategy and Outcomes.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop a 3 year research strategy and plan that demonstrates the impact and value of navigation, virtual care and new models of delivery for members/patients as well as other stakeholders in health care transformation
  • Design, execute, and publish studies in the peer-reviewed literature based on the agreed upon strategy/plan
  • Work side-by-side with our internal teams, including data science, analytics, clinical strategy and external stakeholders to produce world-class research in the emerging area of digital health
  • Stay current on emerging evidence in digital health, quality, primary care and navigation

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in clinical research in academia or industry.
  • PhD in health-related field (economics, psychology, public health, etc.) or Masters Degree such as MPH, MS, etc.
  • Held an Associate Professor (academic) or Director-level (industry) research position
  • Strong research track record including grants, publications, team management, etc.
  • Stellar leadership, project management, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced training in clinical informatics
  • Prior digital health industry experience
  • Clinical Degree, experience in patient care
